I am in the Santa Cruz,CA area. I am private investigator. My son showed me your site for photo data and I’ve used it several times as it seemed to be accurate. Now I am not so sure of the accuracy as when I uploaded several photos, it showed the wrong date, i.e.the wrong year that the photo was taken. How accurate is this software? Is the data basically the same as the properties? Please let me know as soon as possible as I am working a fraud case where it’s really important that dates be right. thank you!
The site shows the data in the photo accurately, but that doesn’t mean the data is accurate. The camera’s clock may have been wrong when the photo was taken, or the data in the copy of the image you have may have been manipulated before you got it. It’s fairly easy to change/add/delete any data. You can’t trust any data in an image, including the pixels, if you don’t know their full provenance. —Jeffrey
