On our trip to KidZania in Kobe, Japan last month, which included stints working on a train and hosting a radio show, he also took time to learn appliance repair. Already five years ago he was an expert on vacuum cleaners, so it's only natural that's what he worked on here.

It was the day of the doggy funeral, so I'm sure it was emotionally taxing on Anthony, but he seemed to hold up fine.

What was satisfying for Anthony were the ample opportunities for fun that the grounds offered...

Picking up from the sunset photo from the other day's A Bit of Color and Thunder (which I posted not realizing that the next day would offer an amazing sunset of its own), here is a collection of photos from our spring trip to Awaji Island with somewhat of a geometric bend...

In the large version, you can see individual branches on the trees. Not too bad for almost 14km away, handheld.

I was gratified not only to be able to pick up the camera today, but to actually remember how to use it. Kyoto had a mild version this evening of the sunset described in my November 2008 post "Today's Sunset: the Deepest, Truest Orange I Have Ever Seen". Like then, I was at my condo and just ran up to the top floor to catch the view.

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything this month besides Lightroom stuff. Last year I posted 2,082 photos in 268 posts, but my running rate for this month extrapolates out to zero real posts. Where did Spring 2010 go? (The answer is "Lightroom 3" of course, but today is the first time since its release that I'm actually just using it as a normal user, on my own photos, for pleasure. Ah, but what a pleasure it is...)
