More Playground Fun

Earlier in the summer, near the start of my trip to Ohio, I posted some funky pictures of Anthony that were highly processed with some new features of Lightroom 2.

The shots were from a really nice playground in Ravenna, Ohio. It's been on my list to post a few more, so here they are.

Just after I took the photo above, a boy of about seven or eight years old walked up to me and said "This place is awesome!!!"

Kid Play in Whistler: Bungee Trampoline

One goes to Whistler (in B.C., Canada) for the nature and outdoor sports like bike riding, but kids just want to play, so we indulged Anthony with some of the kid activities the village offered.

Here, five-year-old Anthony tries a "bungee trampoline" kind of thing. The quality of the photos is horrid, but I want to preserve the memory, so they're here nevertheless.

He then bounced up and down with the operator's help, eventually getting quite high....

I would have loved to have had a tripod to make a longer exposure, to show the movement....

Jogging with Grandpa, Again

Anthony went running with Grandpa again this morning. The first time was a week or so ago, and this was the second.

Last time Anthony just did one lap around the lake – about four-tenths of a mile – but today he did three laps. (My dad does six laps – two and a half miles – most mornings)

I got down there with my camera as they were finishing the first lap. These pictures are just about identical to the ones before, but I love'em anyway. I may be a biased daddy, but Anthony is just so cute when [...]

Sharp-Dressed (Five-year-old) Man

(These were quick impromptu shots that I had to use high ISO on, so they're really grainy. Sigh. Nikon's D200 doesn't do well at high ISO. Can't wait for the D700 waiting for me in Kyoto...)
