Loose Tooth

Having upgraded my laptop drive, I've finally started processing the thousands of photos I've taken in the last few days, and these two are the most recent of the bunch, from this morning....

Anthony's upper front-left tooth is very loose, just hanging on by a thread (so to speak), so I expect it to fall out today or tomorrow. [UPDATE: or the day after tomorrow.] He's never had a baby tooth fall out naturally, though six months ago, we did have two baby teeth pulled by a dentist.

He posed this morning in a T-shirt he made with his Aunt [...]

Visiting with Cousin Felicity

Anthony's youngest cousin, Titi, was born four months ago to Uncle Alan and Aunt Natalie. We learned that they were expecting when we were here last year, and now we were able to finally meet her.

Baseball With Uncle Alan

Uncle Alan stopped by to visit for a bit with his wife and four-month-old Titi. He didn't have long because he had an 8-hour drive home waiting, but he had time for a bit of baseball with Anthony.

Anthony was pretty good at hitting.... he's not too bad with me when [...]

Keeping the Geese in Line

More on country living during our trip to Ohio....

With family with lots of little kids coming into town this week, my folks are trying to keep the geese (and their copious quantities of poop) down by the lake, so have set up a little fence that marks how close they're allowed to approach. Sometimes they venture a bit too close, and need a gentle reminder of the limits....

Reminds me of doing something similar last year.

A Bit of Water-Hose Play

As I mentioned yesterday, we're in Ohio for the summer, and Anthony quickly started to enjoy the benefits to country living. He caught toads, played with fireflys, played baseball and basketball with Daddy, chased geese, played in a big sandpile, and generally explored around. That was his first full day here at Grandma and Grandpa's place.

The play backhoe (whose many-year provenance was provided in the previous post) had more spiderwebs and such than he cared for, so he wanted to rinse it off.

Eventually I put on one of those multi-nozzel sprayers, which provided a slight improvement in washing [...]
