KidZania Visit #2 Wrapup: Construction and Health-Care Aid

In my most recent post about KidZania, Anthony had baked bread at a bakery. After that he did the radio show I posted about in May, just after our visit. Then it was time for a stint as a construction worker....

He'd done this before the first time we came; this was the only job he repeated.

It was getting late, but he was lucky to get one more experience in before KidZania closed for the evening: health-care aid.

And with that his second trip to KidZania was done.

Uncle Alan’s Birthday Cake

So, my brother Alan is in town with Natalie and Titi, and since his birthday was the other day, my mom prepared a birthday cake for after dinner.

After Alan blew out most of the candles, Titi came over to inspect the cake.

For her part, though, she got the cutest little ice cream cone I've ever seen, perfectly matched to her 16-month-old size....

Anthony, hot and tired from play, benefited from the birthday occasion with cake and ice cream...

Feeding The Birds (at Their Behest)

The birds who live around my folks' place have the humans trained pretty well. If you're out on the veranda but neglect to feed them, they'll of course pester you for worms, but if you don't even go out, they'll come calling. While we were visiting with cousin Titi, Anthony answered the call of a chickadee that summoned us for food.

The Location May Be Different, But….

We fly 100-gazillion-billion miles to visit America, and the first thing he wants to do is use his allowance to buy a LEGO® Star Wars™ toy he'd been thinking about getting in Japan.

It became a Hyena Droid Bomber™ in short order.

Star Wars™, and in particular LEGO® Star Wars™, are the center of his universe. I've only mentioned it on the blog a few times (such as here, here, here, and most recently here), but every other post would be about it if I were to give it accurate coverage.

Note to Papa

Anthony bought a Star Wars LEGO toy with his allowance, and wanted to make sure that I didn't throw away the box, so he wrote this on our fridge whiteboard:

We thought it was too cute... too cute to erase. (I took this picture a month ago, and it's still there.)

The drawing of the toy (warning: link with sound) in the box really adds to it.
