Today's post is an audio review of the "Uzu" iPad app by Anthony's 23-month-old cousin Jena, who is visiting Grandma and Grandpa at the same time we are.

The $0.99 iPad app Uzu (iTunes link) describes itself as "a kinetic multitouch particle visualizer", which of course means nothing, but in short it makes pretty patterns that respond to your touch in fairly complex ways. Just as he did last year and the year before, Anthony joined Grandpa on his daily jogs this morning.

The sunrise lighting was quite dynamic, depending on where they and the clouds happened to be at any one moment...

Anthony was feeling substantially less fresh after lap three than after lap one, and didn't really want to continue, but he stuck with it and did all five laps.

It's another busy summer of play, with way too many things that I want to post about, so I'll try to catch up a little with some random summer-fun pics of Anthony and his cousins Josh and Jena...

There are lots of little frogs around in the grass. He found this one while clearing away a fallen tree, just like he found one when we first started the cleanup of a tree that had fallen.

Not too far from our "special appreciation spot" is an old decaying tree with some character. I took a photo of Anthony by it last year, so took another this year, and may try to make it into a tradition.

Normally when we're near the tree it's because we're taking a tractor ride where he sits on my lap and drives, so he's not in the mood to stop that fun to take a stupid picture, so I had to say something silly to get him to laugh. I forget what I said, but I got a "Daaaaady, that's siillly" [...]
