Good haircut! Let me guess; YOU didn’t give him this one, did you? 🙂

Why did you change the aperture and shutter so drastically?

Before we left, I tried a few different shots, including one from a slight angle where you could see the back of his head in the mirror, and for that I used a smaller aperture. Turns out that I didn’t use that shot, but when we got back I forgot to update the settings until after the first post-cut shot. As is often the case, that the first shot ended up being the best, despite the settings. —Jeffrey

Still somewhat disheveled however shorter than before.
At least you can now see his ears.
Maybe get a really short haircut next time, just in time for the summer?

I think that the ‘before’ shot looks better. The ‘Just William’ style suits small boys.
Of course I realise that sometimes the haircut is needed, usually just before returning to school after the holidays.

Your kid is very handsome and I agree with John. -Don’t know anything about ‘Just William’ but that long slightly unkempt look looks great. He also looks real sharp in after too. Interestingly… Before Pic he favors your wife. After photo he favors you.

Anthony is all set for Christmas. He looks so good with his locks shorn, that I was reminded to get my own hair
cut tomorrow. Merry Christmas! Thank you for the photo greeting. See you sometime in the New Year. This is
being written from Kyoto, Japan, at 5:35pm the day before the day before Christmas.

‘Just William’ referred to Richmal Crompton’s hero William Brown who is known to several generations of children and parents in UK. He is a well meaning child who through many misunderstandings gets into all sorts of trouble. Of course he is hilarious and a roll model who should not be taken too seriously.
