I was in Kyoto. It’s an amazing place. Where exactly is this? What a great feeling this photo brings.

Dear Jeffrey,
you wrote in one of your last post that you’re disappointed by the D4. Are you still disappointed (setting apart the auto ISO control)? I’d like to know what you think of the dynamic range compared to the D700… It looks great, at least judging from this wonderful picture.

I haven’t really paid enough attention to that detail (and perhaps don’t have enough skill to make a reasonable judgement anyway). I haven’t really done anything serious with it yet, so I’m still in the figuring-it-out stage. —Jeffrey
