The Bridge
The Great Seto Bridge, 17km Distant
That bridge is the subject of this post from a year and a half ago.
The hotel doubles as a modern-art museum. Modern art is not my cup of tea at all, but this place feels more like I'm in a video game (Doom, circa 20 years ago), so it's actually fun.

Hide and Seek
at the Big Squash
Apparently, the Big Squash is a famous landmark. You can see it jutting from the shore in “The View” above.

Most of these shots at the hotel were while making our first stroll in the dark... I'm sure it'll look different (and I'll have higher-quality photo) tomorrow in the daylight.
‘Art’ is nice 😉
Nice, interesting venue. I’m impressed with the hotel’s “style”.
Very remarkable picture you called “Art”! Great composition. Definitely something you might want to consider printing out in large.
Enjoy your stay.
Oh, you went to Naoshima?
I just went there a few weeks ago, too!
Great shots! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Very nice ! Will make a note of that for a stay the next time I/we are in Japan.
I’m rather impressed with the one called “art” too.
Can’t wait for daylight and more Art!
And I am jealous that you are staying in such a totally-very cool venue. So am hoping you will post a lot of pictures so I can imagine staying there myself.

Annie 🙂
Just a quick question – does this hotel have disabled facilities in any of its rooms…? I’ve looked on the website and they are happy to lend you a wheelchair but there is nothing else about disabled guest facilities. Did you see any wheelchair bound folks during your stay?

I asked as I checked out… yes, they have full support. —Jeffrey
