Well looks like stairs from a stage, scaffold or something.
What Am I: A guy who is flaunting the high ISO capabilities of his D700. ISO3200 F5 @ 1/400th! Was that scaffolding moving that fast? 🙂

I found the answer using your EXIF tool. But that feels like cheating! I was going to guess some kind of adjustable stair – the link in the middle looks like it can lock the stair into different positions.

Maybe I’m dense but other than the map, I don’t see how EXIF data helps answer these… granted, the map can show what part of Japan we are in, but…. eh… doesn’t seem to help that much. Maybe I just don’t know much about Japan’s regions.
