Silly Play
of some kind or another

It's another busy summer of play, with way too many things that I want to post about, so I'll try to catch up a little with some random summer-fun pics of Anthony and his cousins Josh and Jena...

Frog

There are lots of little frogs around in the grass. He found this one while clearing away a fallen tree, just like he found one when we first started the cleanup of a tree that had fallen.

Josh found one the other day as well...

Josh's Frog

Josh just loves dinosaurs (and knows, at 4 years old, more about them than anyone I've ever met) and Anthony has started to become interested as well, especially from a play perspective...

My sister took a similar photo of Jena last year...

Goose Feather

We found this while taking a tractor ride around the lake, and it reminded me of this photo of Anthony holding a dragonfly wing I took during a similar situation last year. I use that photo on a post about Aperture 3 being released, and coincidentally Adobe released a Lightroom 3.2 Release Candidate a few minutes ago. I didn't realize the coincidence until looking around for the old dragonfly photo just now.

Comments so far....

Very nice pictures Jeffrey. One question though. The 125mm is a manual Focus lense right? How are you getting the kids in-focus that fast? I doubt that they will just sit there and wait until you properly focussed on them. Is it just training, training, training,….?

Training, luck, and somewhat of a carpet-bombing approach to the occasion. —Jeffrey
