The kids' tea bottles await their owners, at the preschool Sports Day this past weekend (more about which is presented here).

Wow, colorful for sure 😉
For some reason they look miniature, like shots of doll house accessories!
I just got my 70-200VR myself, I gotta say: it’s a SWEET lens! 😉
Hey Jeff — saw your post over on Zach’s blog about me. Made me smile remembering all the old craziness of Yahoo. See you are in Japan now — very cool (I lived in Tokyo for a year back in the early 90’s). Hope all is well!
I see you have made amends for that rice field photo I didn’t like a few days ago. ^.^ I really like the first image. The first person is right, it does look like you went into a miniaturized world. Perhaps like Alice, you too, ate a cookie! 😉
Congrats
I thought much the same thing as the first poster – the photo’s look like they’re miniature. The reason’s to do with us associating such a small depth of field with small objects, since depth of field increases as you focus towards infinity.
It can be done intentionally to existing photos in Photoshop.
Second pic is so colorful and interesting.
Hi Jeffrey,
I’ve just recently bought a 70-200 VR myself and am trying to figure out if it’s soft at f/2.8.
I was wondering if you’d be willing to take some test shots for comparison?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Lorenzo
P.S. Maybe you could contact me by e-mail?
