Birthday Cake

So, my brother Alan is in town with Natalie and Felicity, and since his birthday was the other day, my mom prepared a birthday cake for after dinner.

After Alan blew out most of the candles, Felicity came over to inspect the cake.

For her part, though, she got the cutest little ice cream cone I've ever seen, perfectly matched to her 16-month-old size....

Anthony, hot and tired from play, benefited from the birthday occasion with cake and ice cream...

Comments so far....

VERY cute – but somehow I doubt that any of Anthony’s LEGOs are in any sort of organized lines on the floor after a baby has been loose in the playroom :-)

Just a note to say that the little blue bib Felicity is wearing while eating the ice cream cone was made by her great-grandmother (my mother) for her father, uncles and aunt many, many years ago. It was made from a new washcloth, cut out and trimmed in bias tape for the ties. My mom made a number of them for my children and most were worn til worn out. I was able to save this one. Would warm her heart, as it does mine, to see my grandchildren using it.
