This evening, I've been testing some new code in my Lightroom export\nplugin for SmugMug<\/a> that deals with replacing images already uploaded to\nSmugMug. In order<\/span> to be able to quickly see whether a new<\/span> image has\nreplaced an old one, I would<\/span> first go into Lightroom's develop module and\nslam some random slider to its hilt, making a wildly<\/span> different result that,\nonce uploaded, I could<\/span> easily ascertain was different from the old one.<\/p>\n\n

After things were working and I pushed<\/span> out the new version of the\nplugin, I paused<\/span> to actually look at the image my random testing had left\nme with, and I was<\/span> struck by how pretty it was. When I started<\/span> the testing, I happened<\/span> to have on my screen the butterfly image from this\nevening's post<\/a>, so that's what I used,<\/span> and the image above is what I\nwas<\/span> left with.<\/p>\n\n

It looks less dazzling when viewed on my consumer-level Dell monitor,\nbut in Lightroom, on my higher-end Eizo monitor<\/a>,\nit's pretty amazingly vibrant.<\/p>\n\n
