Fumie's mom took Anthony on a helicopter ride yesterday, the five-minute\nflight time “Bay\nArea Course<\/a>” offered by Ogawa Air (\u5c0f\u5ddd\u822a\u7a7a<\/span><\/a>) in Osaka.<\/p>\n\n

The flight was only five minutes, but that's more than I've ever done.\nIn fact, prior to yesterday, I'd known<\/span> only one person who had ever been in\na helicopter<\/span> (20+ years ago, in the military, where he<\/a> spent the flight throwing\nup, or, at least, wanting to).<\/p>\n\n

As for me, I'd love to<\/span> do it sometime but it's ridiculously<\/i>\nexpensive here. Yesterday's five-minute flight was $85 each, which\ntranslates to a rate<\/span> of over $1,000 an hour. Each.<\/p>\n\n

The high cost of actual flight hasn't stopped Anthony from enjoying\nhelicopters, because he can still have fun watching them<\/a>, or playing with them<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Like this morning, with the actual experience still fresh, his fleet of three helicopter toys\nwas ready to go...<\/p>\n\n
