{"id":96,"date":"2005-11-08T21:19:47","date_gmt":"2005-11-08T12:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/regex.info\/blog\/2005-11-08\/96"},"modified":"2005-11-08T21:20:05","modified_gmt":"2005-11-08T12:20:05","slug":"its-too-early-for-christmas-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/regex.info\/blog\/2005-11-08\/96","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s Too Early for Christmas Music!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\nThis afternoon we all went to the <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.platz-kintetsu.com\/\">Kintetsu Department Store<\/a> at\nKyoto Station\n\nto get some winter clothes for Anthony at <a href=\"http:\/\/gap.co.jp\">Baby\nGap<\/a>, do some book shopping, and have dinner (the top-floor\n&#8220;Mirano-Tei&#8221;, <span class='nobr'>a pseudo<\/span>-Italian restaurant which looks fairly\ndubious, had excellent spaghetti at <span class='nobr'>a reasonable<\/span> price).\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nWe had a wonderful time, but <span class='nobr'>I was<\/span> dismayed to hear Christmas music\nalready. Sigh. <span class='nobr'>I was even<\/span> more dismayed to find that <span class='nobr'>I sort<\/span> of enjoyed it.\n(The problem, of course, is that within <span class='nobr'>a week<\/span> I'll be totally sick of it,\nthereby turning me into <span class='nobr'>a sourpuss<\/span> Scrooge by the time Christmas actually\nrolls around.)\n\n<\/p><p>\nThere should be some kind of world-court law which prohibits\nChristmas music outside of the month of December. <span class='nobr'>The penalty<\/span> for <span class='nobr'>a first<\/span>\noffense would be death, and for <span class='nobr'>a second<\/span> offense they'd be forced to listen\nto Christmas music while shopping.\n\n<\/p>\n\n<br clear=\"all\"\/>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> This afternoon we all went to the Kintetsu Department Store at Kyoto Station to get some winter clothes for Anthony at Baby Gap, do some book shopping, and have dinner (the top-floor \"Mirano-Tei\", a pseudo-Italian restaurant which looks fairly dubious, had excellent spaghetti at a reasonable price). <\/p><p> We had a wonderful time, but I was dismayed to hear Christmas music already.
