Clarity was first\nintroduced in <a href=\"\/blog\/2007-06-27\/502\"\nclass='quiet'>Lightroom version 1.1<\/a> to allow you to enhance local\ncontrast, and with the normal &#8220;Dave Hill look&#8221; treatment, you push it to its maximum.<\/p>\n\n<p><span class='nobr'>Lightroom 2,<\/span> however, introduces the ability to apply <b>negative\nclarity<\/b>, which reduces local contrast.
