Fumie headed to the airport yesterday with Anthony, and\nstayed at the on-site hotel, allowing me to pack and such at home. <span class='nobr'>I'm heading<\/span> out to the airport now.<\/p>\n\n<p>The flight is full. There were only <span class='nobr'>a few<\/span> seats left the other day, and\nlooking yesterday, it seems they've all gone. Ugh.<\/p>\n\n<p>We normally take Untied Airlines, but the <i>Kansai - San Francisco -\nChicago - Cleveland<\/i> route is really unfun &ndash; too many segments\n&ndash; so this time I'm trying <i>Kansai - Detroit - Cleveland<\/i> on\nNorthwest. This itinerary shaves something like five hours off the travel\ntime.<\/p>\n\n<p>The last time I flew Northwest, in 1990, my luggage got mistakenly put\nonto <span class='nobr'>a later<\/span> flight, one that &ndash; also mistakenly &ndash; <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/aviation-safety.net\/database\/record.php?id=19901203-1\">crashed<\/a>,\nkilling seven passengers and one crew member.<\/p>\n\n<p>Hopefully, this time is, uh, less eventful.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The flight is full.
