Fumie grew up going camping several times a year,<\/span> and has fond memories\nof it. We're not really the “outdoorsy” type, but we thought it'd be nice\nto give Anthony the same experience, so we're heading camping for a few<\/span>\ndays. We borrowed<\/span> her folks' tent, and her dad and I (and Anthony, of\ncourse) practiced setting it up in the living room....<\/p>\n\n

I went to Costco yesterday – there's one an hour south of Kyoto\n– to get some supplies, but ended up buying a tent.<\/span> It cost only<\/span> $120\nbut is about the size of Rhode Island. The company<\/span> that makes it (Northpole<\/a>) has horrible reviews\nbecause they apparently make crap, but it only has to last a few<\/span> days.\nWe'll see.<\/p>\n\n

We're heading out in a few minutes; I won't<\/span> be posting again until next week.<\/p>\n\n
