Despite having a\ncold<\/span><\/a> during our vacation last week to Amami<\/a> (a\nsouthern<\/span> Japanese island in the East China Sea), I somehow<\/span> found the\nenergy to take a few<\/span> pictures. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n

I'm busy now with other things lately (have you<\/i> done your<\/i>\ntaxes yet?) so I haven't<\/span> had time to go through our photos from the trip,\nso here are a few<\/span> from the beginning, of Anthony playing on the beach in\nfront of the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n

There was a bright overcast with only the occasional bit of sun\npeaking through, so there wasn't much color in the water.<\/p>\n\n

Our hotel was located near the north-east portion of the long, oddly\nshaped island (there's a map<\/span> on my intro to Amami post<\/a>), so\nwe could see parts of it extending down to the south...<\/p>\n\n

Well, I don't know whether it's a sea<\/span> sponge or some kind of plant, but either way, Anthony found it eminently kickable.<\/p>\n\n

The seashell necklace was a gift from the hotel, given to Anthony at\nour welcome dinner the previous night.<\/p>\n\n

Our hotel was the Bashayama-mura\nResort<\/a>, which was wonderfully low key and not at all like the high-end\nglitz that I imagine<\/span> something like Club Med would be.<\/p>\n\n
