I feel absolutely overwhelmed with stuff I want<\/span> to write about and share.<\/p>\n\n

I was hoping to finally get around to posting about some interesting\nthings from last week's\ntrip to Kanazawa<\/a>. I'd already<\/span> done one post with a few<\/span> pics from Kenrokuen\nGardens<\/a>, but there's so much more, including the interesting “Modern\nArt (Japanese Style)” train station, and a pool<\/span> you can go into without\ngetting wet...<\/p>\n\n

However, those plans got interrupted because Saturday was the graduation ceremony<\/a> at\nAnthony's preschool, which created its own subject matter that awaits\nposting. I did do<\/span> the one already, but I could<\/span> do a few<\/span> more just on the\ncuteness of Anthony's classmates, including....<\/p>\n\n

Kana's been on my blog many times. Some of my favorites include Anthony Getting Out of\nLine<\/a> and the related Anthony Staying In Line, With\nKana<\/a>, and also Silly\nMountaintop Lunch With Kana-Chan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

So, after that event I thought I'd write about it for a few<\/span> days, but\nthat got interrupted immediately because of our trip back home. I'd hauled<\/span> Anthony's bicycle to school on the back of my own, and so we could return\nfrom the graduation ceremonies by riding home (about three kilometers!),\nwhich includes a trip<\/span> through the grounds of the Imperial Palace in\nKyoto<\/a>. Of course, that leads to many opportunities for a geeky<\/span> dad with\na camera<\/span> who wants to foist pictures of his child on the world...<\/p>\n\n

So, that was Saturday, and I thought that finally Sunday (yesterday) I\ncould<\/span> get started on catching up, but it turns out that yesterday we made\nan impromptu six-hour round trip to a really<\/span> interesting temple in Gifu-ken\nwith Fumie's mom. I could<\/span> post every day or the next month with new and\ninteresting shots from this temple, which is full of cut stone of all\nkinds, and a lot<\/span> of paper cranes...<\/p>\n\n

I thought today I might actually get through a 24<\/span>-hour period without\nadding 100 pictures to my “must share!” pile, but that turned out to be\nwishful thinking when Monet's<\/a> dad, Arthur,\ninvited us to a really<\/span> fun playground in nearby Otsu. We had intended<\/span> to go\nto the Yumekko Playland that I wrote<\/span> about before<\/a> (and\nabout which I still<\/span> have plenty to post), but it was closed, so he took us\nto a most<\/span>-excellent park nearby.<\/p>\n\n

This park was within sight of Zak's<\/a> condo, so I\nimmediately<\/span> called him up and give him grief for having kept this\nmost-excellent park to himself. I then proceeded<\/span> to take 249 photos.<\/p>\n\n

So, that's just a hint of the new things that I want<\/span> to write about, and\nthat's just stuff added in the last week or so<\/i>. Even after having\ncleared out hundreds of throwaways, my photo library has 1,598 pictures\nso far this month<\/b>, although that includes 425 pictures I took<\/span> at a ballet recital last week that\ncame out pretty poorly because I had<\/span> too little skill to overcome the\ntoo-little light.<\/p>\n\n

I could look back to most any week lately and find as much stuff that\nstill awaits.<\/p>\n\n

We're heading to Amami (again<\/a>) at the end of the\nmonth, but I still<\/span> have so many things to post from our earlier trip that\nI'd like to add to my Amami\ncategory<\/a>, including a freaky<\/span> tree straight from a horror<\/span> movie, and the\nmost affable and interesting Hirozo-san...<\/p>\n\n
