\n\n\nToday, Anthony<\/a> made a poopy<\/span> in the toilet.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nHe'd been wearing underwear (not diapers) for parts of the day for a month<\/span>\nor so, making pee-pee in the toilet with the occasional\n“shippai<\/i>” (mistake) here and there. Since we have mostly\nhardwood floors, cleanup of such mistakes is not that big a deal.<\/span>\n\n<\/p>

\n\nYet, the success of pee-pee in the toilet has been offset by difficulties\nwith poopy in the toilet. We would<\/span> have long talks about it, and he would\nclaim that he can't<\/i> do it. Not that he<\/span> didn't want to, but that,\napparently despite his best desires to do it, it's simply beyond the realm\nof possibility. The sorrow<\/span> in his “I caaaan't<\/i> make poopy in\ntoilet” seemed genuine.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nHis belief that it was out of his control was made more evident by the lack\nof success of our bribe... uh, er, “setting goals”. We made it<\/span>\nclear time and again that the day he made a poopy<\/span> in the toilet was a day<\/span>\nhe got a very<\/span> special “yellow truck” present. (He loves trucks\nand such). Perhaps that's the root of his sorrow, that he was given an\nimpossible goal with no chance of payoff.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nIn any case, we eventually decided to lay low about the poopy-in-the-toilet\nthing to see if he'd naturally want to go for it at a later<\/span> date.\n\n<\/p>\n
