There's <span class='nobr'>a nice<\/span> daytime shot of it at high tide at the <a\nhref=\"\/blog\/2007-10-11\/603\">end of this post<\/a>, and on\nanother post, <a href=\"\/blog\/2007-10-06\/596\">some night\nshots<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Perhaps it's just the geek in me, but <span class='nobr'>I think<\/span> there's <span class='nobr'>a certain<\/span> interest\nto it even at low tide. <span class='nobr'>I like to<\/span> see how things work, and how they're\nbuilt, and, of course, it's easier to get close to it when it's not\nsurrounded by eight feet of water.<\/p>\n\n<p>I got up early the morning after the <a\nhref=\"\/blog\/2007-10-03\/592\">Kousuke Atari concert<\/a>, and\nwas delighted to find that it was <span class='nobr'>a very<\/span> low tide, with up to <span class='nobr'>a quarter<\/span>\nmile of extra land exposed. <span class='nobr'>It was occasionally<\/span> muddy, but mostly just damp\nsand and rocks, so <span class='nobr'>I could<\/span> freely walk out and wander around. <span class='nobr'>The guy walking<\/span> his dog in the shot above was likely just using the opportunity of\n<span class='nobr'>a low<\/span> tide to take <span class='nobr'>a shortcut.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<div class='ic'><a name='038205' href=\"\/i\/JEF_038205.jpg\"\n><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/i\/JEF_038205_sm.jpg\" width=\"690\" height=\"462\"\nalt=\"Sand &amp;middot;
