We awoke this morning to find a car<\/span>-repair scene on the livingroom floor.<\/p>\n\n

To repair the black car, Anthony's imagination called in three fire\ntrucks, two helicopters, a large<\/span> crane, a dump<\/span> truck, an ambulance, a car,<\/span>\nand assorted workers.<\/p>\n\n\n

He makes these kind of things every day, from the simple (valet<\/a>) to the complex (heavy industries<\/a>) to the\nunexpected (airport\nsecurity gate<\/a>). If they catch<\/span> my fancy as a parent<\/span> or photographer,\nI'll try to grab a few<\/span> shots.<\/p>\n\n

I thought it'd be a good place to play with the extremely shallow depth\nof field offered by an f\/1.4 lens (I have<\/span> two, a Sigma 30mm f\/1.4<\/a> and a\nNikkor<\/span> 85mm f\/1.4 that I bought<\/span> from Zak<\/a>). I tried<\/span> a few<\/span> shots with the\n85mm, but felt f\/1.4 was just too shallow to do much with in the limited\ntime I had.<\/span> I need more<\/span> practice.<\/p>\n\n
