Continuing from yesterday's post about playing in rice paddies<\/a>, we\ncrossed the streets to see the ones we came there for. They're tiers cut\ninto a hillside<\/span> on either side of a small<\/span> stream coming from the mountains.\nBecause they're above us and extend so far away (well over a dozen<\/span> tiers\nextending almost a mile<\/span> up the hill), only the first few closest really\nlook like anything. The rest are<\/span> too small.<\/p>\n\n\n

If it hadn't been so excruciatingly hot, I might<\/span> have had the sense to\ndrive up the hill on the little access road that parallels the stream, to\nget a shot<\/span> from above. Hmmmm, I should<\/span> perhaps return tomorrow. (UPDATE<\/b>, it wasn't the next day,\nbut I did<\/span> return<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n
