While taking pictures of my dad clearing away a fallen<\/span>\nmulberry tree<\/a> last week, I also collected<\/span> a few<\/span> other random pictures\nof things related to the tree or the area.<\/p>\n\n

This little black-headed line of white fuzz was marching out from the\ntree trunk. As Dad was<\/span> bringing the backhoe into position, I was crawling<\/span>\non my belly trying to get this guy in focus as he marched at a surprisingly<\/span>\nfast clip.<\/p>\n\n

This one dragonfly was quite interested in what we were doing, watching\nfrom close range the whole time.<\/p>\n\n

There wasn't much fruit left on the mulberry tree, but here's one berry on a branch<\/span> that had fallen into the mud...<\/p>\n\n

The trunk of the old tree was at least two feet thick, but only the\noutside ring was live wood. Here's a closeup<\/span> of the inside of the core of\nthe base...<\/p>\n\n

Further up on the trunk, venturing out into the sunlight to explore one\nof the cuts Dad was making in it, came someone who was perhaps responsible\nfor the tree coming down in the first place...<\/p>\n\n\n
