He didn't understand the grammar, of course, but\njust took the parts from &#8220;Do you want me to <b>carry you<\/b>,\nAnthony?&#8221; as the sounds to make when he wanted to communicate the\nidea.\r <\/p>\n\n<p>Now, a year later, he's still saying &#8220;carry you&#8221;, and I'm\nstarting to wonder how you teach first and second person personal pronouns.\n\"<b>When Anthony says 'you', it means Daddy, and when Daddy says 'you', it\nmeans Anthony.<\/b>\" hasn't worked yet.<\/p>\n\n<p>These days, when he says &#8220;carry you&#8221;, <span class='nobr'>I respond<\/span>\n&#8220;<i>carry me?<\/i>&#8221; and he then says &#8220;carry me&#8221;, but\nhe still doesn't really get it.<\/p>\n\n<br clear=\"all\"\/>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When Anthony first started talking, one of his first phrases was \"carry you\" (meaning \"carry me\").
