When it rains it pours. I hadn't had someone visit from The States for\nthree years, and this week I'm enjoying two visits, my Aunt Jeannette<\/a> as I noted<\/span>\nyesterday, and separately, an old colleague from Yahoo! who now lives in\nSingapore, Kuan-Fu Chang (aka “KFC”), and his wife, also a former<\/span> Yahoo!,\nVerena Wee.<\/p>\n\n

I particularly enjoyed how they're both somewhat camera geeks, so I\nenjoyed<\/span> taking pictures of them taking pictures.<\/p>\n\n

I'd met them for dinner the other night, bringing along my Sigma 30mm\nf\/1.4<\/a> for the low light, watching as they photographed the various\ndishes as they arrived. In the shot<\/span> below, it's a tomato<\/span> dish, with\nscallions and grated daikon<\/a>, and was quite good.<\/p>\n\n

Today we walked around my place, visiting the gardens of Murin'an, the\nNanzen\nTemple<\/a>, and the Shogunzuka hilltop overlooking Kyoto.<\/p>\n\n
