In between snapping pictures of the great blue heron<\/a>\nyesterday, I paused<\/span> to take a picture<\/span> of some potted flowers. The result<\/span> is\na deliciously<\/span> rich set of colors that can't really be replicated properly\non the web.<\/p>\n\n

This image is right out Lightroom, with all settings at their default. The saturation<\/span> may look unnaturally vivid as if it's been boosted in post\nprocessing, but believe me, the colors are so rich to start with I worried<\/span>\nthat something might explode if I touched<\/span> the saturation. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n

I'm wondering how this might be as a desktop<\/span> background.... Hmmm.....<\/p>\n\n

Also while there, I took a<\/span> shot of the canal facing east, from a similar<\/span>\nposition as seen during the cherry-blossom seasons, in shots taken during\nthe day<\/a> and night<\/a>. It's not a<\/span>\nspectacular image, but I thought<\/span> some might like to see the comparison.<\/p>\n\n
