They had <span class='nobr'>a little<\/span> event in the morning at which we picked up\nkeys and such (some people showed up with suitcases), and then the place\nwas ours. <span class='nobr'>It was wonderful<\/span> to be able to finally see inside, and while I'm\nsure I'm looking at things with rose-colored glasses, that's just fine with\nme. <span class='nobr'>I love everything<\/span> about this building, the company that made it, and\nabout our unit within it.\n\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nI'd been a bit worried about the lack of <span class='nobr'>a view,<\/span> being on the 2nd floor\n(out of 5), but now that I've seen it, <span class='nobr'>I think<\/span> we have the best unit in the\nwhole building. From the living room we look straight out onto <span class='nobr'>a lot<\/span> of\ntrees just across the river (not such <span class='nobr'>a common<\/span> site in the city), and when\nwe go out on the veranda, we look right down on the Shirakawa river, along\nwith <span class='nobr'>a nice<\/span> view of the Heian Temple's big orange gate. <span class='nobr'>It's just wonderful<\/span>\nin every respect.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nThe <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/map.yahoo.co.jp\/pl?nl=35.0.28.850&amp;el=135.47.5.400\">location<\/a>\nis wonderful, as <span class='nobr'>I knew<\/span> (and my <a\nhref=\"\/i\/pic\/2005-04-08_17:16.59__00548.jpg\">pictures<\/a>\nattest to). <span class='nobr'>To highlight<\/span> how nice the area is, we ran into one of our new\nneighbors who, we found out, are moving from all the way... just across the\nriver. They're moving, as the crow flys, perhaps 50 yards. They must like\nthe area.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nMom and Dad will be moving into their unit in <span class='nobr'>a week<\/span> and <span class='nobr'>a half,<\/span> and we'll\nmove into ours in two weeks. <span class='nobr'>I can't<\/span> wait!\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> Today I got the first look at the completed condo we're moving into in two weeks.
