After a day of cold drizzle yesterday, today (Easter Sunday) was\nglorious: sunny, warm, and cherry trees laden with blossoms. The area were<\/span>\nI live<\/span> was crazy-crowded, but I didn't<\/span> have to endure it much because I was<\/span>\nout most of the day.<\/p>\n\n

I attended Easter Mass at 10am, which was full of mixed emotions because\nwhen I got<\/span> there, I found<\/span> out that the head priest, Fr. Asada, passed away\nthis week. Every time I carried<\/span> Anthony while going to receive communion,\nhe'd pause to bless Anthony, then pat him on the head with a kindly<\/span> “good\nkid.” He'd been sick for the last month or so.<\/p>\n\n

After mass, I took Anthony<\/span> to an Easter-egg hunt sponsored by\n“CLONES”, a name<\/span> I don't<\/span> care for but must begrudgingly admire\nfor its wit. It stands<\/span> for something along the lines of “Children\nLiving with One Native English Speaker” or “Children with at\nLeast One Native English-Speaking parent.” In any case, it's for\nbilingual kids, and Anthony found a few<\/span> chocolate-filled plastic eggs, and\nmade new friends.<\/p>\n\n

After he was down for the evening, I went out<\/span> to take a few<\/span> pictures. The one above<\/span> is facing the same direction as the top one from this night-sakura post<\/a>\nfrom the other day, but from the bridge you can see in its far distance. It was really<\/span> dark, so even the 30-second exposure needed some post-processing\nboost (to mimic a 71<\/span>-second exposure).<\/p>\n\n

Being so dark, that area wasn't getting much attention this evening.\nHowever, turning around to look back across the width of the bridge I was<\/span>\non, and there were plenty of people enjoying a brilliantly<\/span>-lit bank of\ncherry trees (the same ones that can be seen on the left of the previously\nmentioned shot from the other day).<\/p>\n\n
