(<span class='nobr'>I should<\/span> note that\n<a class='quiet' href=\"http:\/\/www.planetkyoto.com\/nils\/\">Nils<\/a> kindly took care of the\nenterance fee for me &mdash; thanks!)<\/p>\n\n<p>The temple was founded circa 865, and is most noted for two famous poets\nwho spent time there: <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matsuo_Basho\">Basho Matsuo<\/a> in 1670,\nand <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yosa_Buson\">Yosa Buson<\/a> about\n<span class='nobr'>a hundred<\/span> years later.<\/p>\n\n<p>Oh, and it's noted for being really pretty in the fall, as tomorrow's\npictures will show....<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There's got to be a name for the little roof that sits on top of a wall, but I don't know what it is.
