More pictures from my outing yesterday<\/a> to\nKonpukuji Temple and Enkouji Temple, for their fall foliage.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nThis time I present a few desktop backgrounds, and as I did<\/span> with the Cherry-Blossom Desktops<\/a>, I'm providing<\/span> both standard and widescreen versions. The two\n“standard” sizes are appropriate for common 4 × 3\ndisplays, while the “widescreen” versions are appropriate for\nApple MacBooks and Cinema Displays, up to an expansive 2,560 × 1,660.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Those first two pictures are of the same garden, so they show how\ndynamic the view was: sometimes a lot<\/span> of red & orange, and sometimes a\nlot<\/span> of green. By the time<\/span> the colors hit their peak, the floor of the\ngarden will be blanketed in red, so despite the colors, it's really just\nthe very beginning of the season. (This, despite how colorful the garden\nlooks from above<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n

In the next picture, we see a leaf alone in a gutter<\/span>\/stream, far away from its friends.<\/p>\n\n

Bamboo is evergreen, so it provides a nice<\/span> backdrop to the fall foliage,\nand in this case, a backdrop<\/span> for my computer desktop.<\/p>\n\n

If you look at the big version<\/a> of the\nnext picture, notice how the water glistens off the leaves in the left half\nof the picture. I think<\/span> it's really pretty, although it loses much of its\nimpact when shrunk down for display below.<\/p>\n\n

I find this last picture a bit disconcerting because I don't<\/span> really know\nwhat to focus on when I look<\/span> at it.
