I had a lovely walk today, with Paul and Akiko<\/a>, who's in town\ntaking a break<\/span> from crazy international travels as a professional<\/span> photographer. I put up<\/span> a few<\/span> photos\nat Strava<\/a> until I can<\/span> do a proper<\/span> blog post.<\/p>\n\n

One bummer from the day is that my camera came unscrewed from its strap, as I apparently<\/span> didn't tighten it well enough. I first<\/span> noticed the problem when I saw<\/span> my Nikon D4 bouncing one way, and the bulk of a $1,000 Cosina Voigtl\u00e4nder Macro APO-Lanthar 125mm F2.5 SL<\/a> bouncing another way. Oops.<\/p>\n

The impact was taken by three screws that held the bulk of the lens to its mount, which all snapped. So it might<\/span> actually be\nfairly easy to fix. We'll see. The camera<\/span> was fine, which I'm thankful for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
