Then <span class='nobr'>I fooled<\/span> around and made the blue version to get going.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><p><b>magenta version<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Then I made highlights magenta using the tone curve, and decided it added something unusual to mossy statues. <span class='nobr'>My friend<\/span> said the statues looked magical, <span class='nobr'>I think<\/span> that's great.\nSplit toned green shadows to balance out.\nThen vignette, to better focus the viewer's attention.\nCropped for composition, as the highlights in the back could be distracting.\nUsed graduated filters to desaturate and darken the defocused statues in the back, so attention is on the foreground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>pseudo B&amp;W version<\/b>\n<p>\nThen I clicked B&amp;W and really liked it, but to me B&amp;W is just <span class='nobr'>a gimmick,<\/span> but <span class='nobr'>I wanted<\/span> to use it here. <span class='nobr'>I ended<\/span> up trying to tone the image lightly to make people think it's pure BW, when actually it was toned.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><b>My Reaction:<\/b>\n<span class='nobr'>A progression<\/span> from muddy (<span class='nobr'>a blue<\/span> version of mine) to crisp.
