{"id":2575,"date":"2015-05-20T15:03:49","date_gmt":"2015-05-20T06:03:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/regex.info\/blog\/2015-05-20\/2575"},"modified":"2015-05-20T15:04:01","modified_gmt":"2015-05-20T06:04:01","slug":"looking-for-modern-bifocal-sunglasses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/regex.info\/blog\/2015-05-20\/2575","title":{"rendered":"Looking for Modern Bifocal Sunglasses&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n<p>I'm surprised that no one seems to make bifocal sunglasses for use in\nreading <span class='nobr'>a phone<\/span> or tablet screen. <span class='nobr'>I'd think<\/span> that this would be <span class='nobr'>a popular<\/span>\nproduct among the technically-savvy over-40 crowd.<\/p>\n\n<p>I've been trying <a\nhref='http:\/\/www.amazon.co.jp\/gp\/product\/B00DKEK6Y8'>this pair of bifocal\nsunglasses<\/a> for <span class='nobr'>a few<\/span> weeks, and while they may be great to read <span class='nobr'>a book<\/span>\nwith, they're literally worse than nothing when it comes to reading my\niPhone screen because the reading-glasses part is also shaded. <span class='nobr'>The darkness<\/span> of the screen\nmakes it less readable than the poorness of my eyesight.<\/p>\n\n<p>My ideal sunglasses would be clear and unpolarized for the\nreading-glasses part, and strongly shaded (and unpolarized) for the\nmain part. (<span class='nobr'>I don't<\/span> care for polarized sunglasses when cycling because the\nroad close up looks different for each eye, and it makes me <span class='nobr'>a bit<\/span>\nqueasy; for scooter or driving, polarized is nice.)<\/p>\n\n<p>In searching both US and Japanese websites, <span class='nobr'>I found<\/span> one pair like this\nfor pilots, but the shape\/style wouldn't be appropriate for cycling.
