Today was the annual toshiya<\/a> archery event for new adults at the\nSanjusangendo Temple (\u4e09\u5341\u4e09\u9593\u5802)<\/span> here in Kyoto. I blogged<\/span> about it extensively three years ago starting with\n“<\/span>Traditional Archery Like a Boss<\/span><\/a>”<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n

I then followed up with what turned into one of my most popular series of posts, starting with\n“<\/span>Total Discipline: Anatomy of a Japanese<\/span> Archer\u2019s Shot<\/a>”<\/span>,\nfollowed by a note<\/span> about\nthe crowds<\/a> and the\nhubub outside<\/a> and\nthe instructors taking their turn (“<\/span>More Badass Japanese Archery<\/a>”<\/span>) and\nthen a look<\/span> at the colorful wardrobes of the ladies<\/a> and then perhaps\nmy favorite post on the subject: “<\/span>Badass Japanese Archery: Now It\u2019s The Ladies\u2019 Turn<\/a>”<\/span>\n(followed by more<\/a> and more<\/a> ladies)\nand then finally more instructors<\/a>. Phew!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
