This is from <span class='nobr'>a few<\/span> minutes ago. <span class='nobr'>I live at<\/span> the black dot to the lower-right of center. Typhoon #19 (<span class='QO'>&#8220;<\/span><a href='http:\/\/www.japantimes.co.jp\/news\/2014\/10\/13\/national\/typhoon-vongfong-slams-into-japan\/'>Vongfong<\/a><span class='QC'>&#8221;<\/span>, though these kind of names are never used in Japan) is forecast to pass through Kyoto\nin five or six hours. <span class='nobr'>A bit exciting<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Update: 70 minutes later, it's all the more impressive:<\/p>\n\n<div class='ic'><a href='http:\/\/www.tenki.jp\/radar\/6\/'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/i\/kyoto-1413188267.jpg\" width=\"586\" height=\"439\"\nid=\"ikyoto_1413188267\"\/><\/a>\n<br\/>5:15 PM\n<meta itemprop='about' content=\"5:15 PM\"\/><\/div>\n\n<p>Now at 7:25 it's a field of red, and it's raining here, but it really doesn't seem that bad.\nAlso, the wind, which was quite strong <span class='nobr'>a few<\/span> hours ago, seems to have died down considerably.<\/p>\n\n<div class='ic'><a href='http:\/\/www.tenki.jp\/radar\/6\/'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/i\/kyoto-1413196076.jpg\" width=\"586\" height=\"439\"\nid=\"ikyoto_1413196076\"\/><\/a>\n<br\/>7:25 PM<\/div>\n\n<p>Update the next morning: it turned out to be not such a big deal here\nin Kyoto... it rained but not even close to the torrential rains we get in\nthe summer.
