When I visited my photo library to continue where I\nleft<\/span> off in last week's “<\/span>An Autumn Visit to\nthe Sento Imperial Palace in Kyoto<\/a>”<\/span>,\nI came across<\/span> a\nhighly<\/span>-overexposed bridge shot similar to the one<\/a> that I did<\/span> post.<\/p>\n\n

Though shooting raw<\/a>\naffords me generous latitude to recover\nfrom exposure mistakes<\/a>, overexposure at some point washes out<\/a> color to pure\nwhite, from which there is no recovery. It was severely<\/span> overexposed (not by\nmistake, actually, but as part of a bracketed<\/span>-exposure sequence) so I was<\/span>\nabout to delete it from my photo archive, but first thought to give it the “<\/span>Funky Joy”<\/span>\ntreatment<\/a> in Lightroom. I liked<\/span> the result.<\/p>\n\n

It's garish and fake, so I'm sure it's not to everyone's taste, but then again, not much is.<\/p>\n\n
