I'm finally over the nagging cold I had<\/span> for the last two weeks. It had relented<\/span> a bit<\/span> early on enough\nfor me to write the posts on the gargoyle<\/a> workshop<\/a>,\nthen returned and stuck with me until I finally<\/span> went to the doctor the other day. He gave me<\/span> antibiotics, and I started<\/span> feeling much felt better the next day.<\/p>\n\n

\u3084\u3063\u3068\u98a8\u90aa<\/span>\u304c\u6cbb\u3063<\/span>\u305f\u3001\u4e8c\u9031\u9593<\/span>\u3076\u308a\u5143\u6c17<\/span>\u3067\u3059\u3002\u624b\u5f53<\/span>\u305f\u308a\u6b21\u7b2c<\/span>\u306b\uff12\uff10\uff10\uff18\u5e74\u306e\u5199\u771f\u8272\u3005<\/span>\u3092\u898b\u305b\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n\n

I couldn't concentrate on much while I had<\/span> the cold, but to try to eke\nout some productivity, I picked<\/span> a year<\/span> (2008) and started going through my\nphoto archive with and eye to delete cruft — stuff I no<\/span> longer need,\nor never needed but had been too lazy to go through and get rid of. I got through<\/span> about 90% of the 14,299 photos that I still<\/span> have for the year,\nand identified a third<\/span> as low-hanging-fruit that I can<\/span> delete.<\/p>\n\n

Wanting to post something now that I'm finally feeling better, here are\na few<\/span> pretty-ish shots from 2008. They're all taken with a Nikon<\/span> D200,\nwhich was my first\ndSLR<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Nothing super great, and without the story that I normally<\/span> like to write, but sometimes you just want to see colors.<\/p>\n\n

Though here's a little story: after selecting the photos for today's\npost, and while starting to write it up, I went back<\/span> to my archive see what\nother blog posts I'd written from the same outings these photos came from. It turns<\/span> out that I'd already published a photo<\/span> very similar to the one\nthat leads this post, with the same metaphor<\/i> of the dead flower representing my having a cold.<\/span> Six and a<\/span> half\nyears ago, it was the lead photo on “<\/span>Venting About My\n(sort of) Cursed Vacation<\/a>”<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n
