My first outing this season to partake of Kyoto's fall-foliage delights\nwas on Friday, as I wrote<\/span>\nabout yesterday<\/a>. The first<\/span> stop was my first visit to the Hokyo-in Temple (\u5b9d\u7b50\u9662)<\/span><\/a> in the\nArashiyama area of western Kyoto.<\/p>\n\n

The long path into the garden was quite photogenic, though it was\ndifficult to get a shot<\/span> that both avoided people in the photo and avoided\nannoying people while taking the photo, but within those constraints I did<\/span>\nokay...<\/p>\n\n

Yet, despite all the work to avoid people in the shots, I tend to<\/span> like\nones with people better, like the one at the top of this post, or that same\nlady at the top of\nyesterday's post<\/a>, or this lady stopping in the middle of the path...<\/p>\n\n

Once I made the plugin onto the path myself, I transversed<\/span> it quickly so\nas to avoid being in others' shots, and came around the back side of the\nmain temple building only to be blinded by the sun...<\/p>\n\n

Much of the day had harsh light like this, but the front of the main\ntemple building was bathed in rich color-splashed shade, so it was\nwonderful...<\/p>\n\n
