It's been a while (almost a year!) since my last\n“<\/span>What am I?”<\/span> Quiz<\/a>... I'll have to do better.<\/p>\n\n

Today's “<\/span>What am I?”<\/span> quiz is fairly simple (it's clearly wood), so today\nI add<\/span> a “<\/span>Why?”<\/span>. Why is the<\/span> What above what it is?<\/p>\n\n

The photo is from an amazing day today at the Seifuso Villa (\u6e05\u98a8\u8358)<\/span> near Kyoto University. The subject<\/span> of the photo is something one sometimes sees to a\nsmall<\/span> extent at temples; what I saw<\/span> today was by far the best example of (whatever it is<\/i>)\nI've ever seen.<\/p>\n\n
