Yet, there are many things I'd like to write about,\nsuch as Anthony looking through his legs into the toilet while &#8220;mid\nbusiness&#8221; and proclaiming &#8220;<span class='nobr'>I have<\/span> <span class='nobr'>a tail!<\/span>&#8221; Or complaining\nthat a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smarthome.com\/865160W.HTML\">simple plastic blank\ninsert<\/a> for <span class='nobr'>a Decora<\/span> switchplate (to fill the space where no switch\nexists) costs almost twice as much as <span class='nobr'>a switch,<\/span> which is <span class='nobr'>a complex<\/span> metal\nand plastic object.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\n(For that matter, <span class='nobr'>I could<\/span> complain about moronic web sites like <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.homedepot.com\">Home Depot's<\/a> which makes it\n<i>impossible<\/i> to share links to specific items they sell.)\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nI'd like to write about how fun it was to play Ultimate Frisbee with\nfriends at Yahoo! last week. <span class='nobr'>I got close<\/span> to 1,000 photos, mostly\nthrow-aways, I'm sure, but <span class='nobr'>I hope<\/span> there will be <span class='nobr'>a few.<\/span>\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nI'd like to write about Adobe's beta photo-processing software, <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/products\/photoshoplightroom\/\">Lightroom<\/a>, and how\n<span class='nobr'>I think<\/span> it's <span class='nobr'>a wonderful<\/span> tool for processing masses of photos quickly.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nI'd like to complain about how <b>&amp;!^@^#$<\/b> much it costs to sell\nreal-estate. <span class='nobr'>If my house<\/span> were valued at $100,000, it would cost about\n$6,000 or $7,000 in commissions to sell it. <span class='nobr'>But my house<\/span> is worth about\n15&times; more than that, and despite it requiring exactly as much work to\nsell as the $100,000 house, the commission goes up by 15&times;. <span class='nobr'>It just makes<\/span> no sense (but makes the real-estate agents <span class='nobr'>a lot<\/span> of dollars, that's\nfor sure).\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nI'd like to write about how much I've enjoyed visiting friends, but how bad\n<span class='nobr'>I feel<\/span> about not having time to visit others. <span class='nobr'>The time has<\/span> just gone by so\nquickly.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nI'd like to write about all that, but there's <span class='nobr'>a lot<\/span> of cleanup and\nhouse-fixing-up and packing yet to do.....\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> I've not had a chance to write lately because we've been working hard preparing the Cupertino house for sale, and preparing for our trip back to Kyoto next Tuesday.
