Dipping into my archives to last November (of “A Long<\/span> But Photogenic\nNovember in Kyoto<\/a>” distinction), here are a couple<\/span> of photos from the\nHonen'in Temple (\u6cd5\u7136\u9662)<\/span> in north-eastern Kyoto. It's a simple<\/span> temple with\nsome nice garden features, including its famous entry gateway seen above\n(and here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n

The path is flanked by two meticulously-groomed piles of sand.<\/p>\n\n
