Continuing in yesterday's<\/a> vein of\nrevisiting old outings, this one goes back to late in last year's\ncherry-blossom season where I came<\/span> across a little<\/span> stick bug.<\/p>\n\n

The shot above is similar to this one of a\nless<\/span>-bloomed blossom<\/a>. I tend to<\/span> try that kind of edge-on shot with this\nlens (a Voigtl\u00e4nder<\/span> 125mm\nf\/2.5<\/a>), with other examples that come to mind including this<\/a>, this<\/a>, and this<\/a>. The one above<\/span> is\nperhaps the least strong.... I probably<\/span> shouldn't bother posting it.<\/p>\n\n

This next one is even less strong, but I like<\/span> it for comparison with its focus just a tad<\/span> further back so you can see detail on the petals, and get an interesting effect with the filaments of the neighboring flowers...<\/p>\n\n
