Although we hadn't been there in years, the\nwaitress recognized us and immediately guessed correctly that we wanted to\norder <b>Yuck Hwe<\/b> (also written in other ways, such as &#8220;yukhoe&#8221; -- our\nmenu had &#8220;Yuck Hwe&#8221; -- but in any case, pronounced similar to\n&#8220;YOU-kay&#8221;).\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\n\nYuck hew is raw marinated beef served very cold, with <span class='nobr'>a raw<\/span> egg on top, and\njulienned apple or pear (the beef itself is julienned as well). <span class='nobr'>It's best served<\/span> <b>very<\/b> cold (with the beef actually <span class='nobr'>a bit<\/span> stiff from being\nfrozen), although Secret Garden doesn't serve it quite that cold.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nAt least one of us gets it every time we go, and particularly after Anthony\nwas born, <span class='nobr'>I'd often<\/span> stop by for carryout to bring home.\n\n<\/p>\n   \n<p>\n\nWe like Secret Garden because their food is good, and also <span class='nobr'>a good<\/span> value. <span class='nobr'>You have to<\/span> be sure to order <span class='nobr'>a small<\/span> amount, because no matter what dinner\nyou order, you end up getting 8 or more little dishes of extras, both spicy\n(such as <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kimchee\">kimchee<\/a>) and\nmild (bean sprouts). Anthony's entire meal consisted of portions of the\nnon-spicy contingent from these extra dishes.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nIn the end, <span class='nobr'>I ate almost<\/span> none of my broccoli &amp; beef and so we returned\nhome heavily laden with leftovers to enjoy later.
