For the most part, Japanese reflexively flash a peace<\/span> sign when a camera<\/span>\nis pointed at them, something that drives most non-Japanese insane, so in\nthe shot above, Damien is mimicking this to spoil my shot. Interestingly,\nthough, he's doing it for exactly<\/i> the same underlying reason that I\nsuspect<\/span> the Japanese do it: without something specific to do,\nthey don't know what to do for the camera and so feel uncomfortable.<\/p>\n\n
