Reload the page to restart animation.\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>I've long noticed that when flipping among images in Lightroom,\nsometimes <span class='nobr'>I get<\/span> <span class='nobr'>a momentary<\/span> 3D stereo feeling when adjacent images are\nalmost identical except for <span class='nobr'>a slight<\/span> horizontal displacement (like our two\neyes' horizontal displacement), and while at the shrine yesterday, decided\nto finally take some shots with this processing in mind.<\/p>\n\n<p>So, <span class='nobr'>I swayed<\/span> gently from side to side while keeping one point in the\ncenter of the frame, and once <span class='nobr'>I had<\/span> <span class='nobr'>a nice<\/span> smooth pattern, snapped <span class='nobr'>a shot<\/span>\non either end of the sway. Then at home <span class='nobr'>I loaded<\/span> the two images into\nPhotoshop, did some web searches on &#8220;how to make an animated GIF in\nPhotoshop&#8221;, and minutes later was done.<\/p>\n\n<p>I learn now that Wikipedia refers to this technique as &#8220;<a\nhref='http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wiggle_stereoscopy'>wiggle\nstereoscopy<\/a>&#8221;, which seems <span class='nobr'>a perfectly<\/span> appropriate name.<\/p>\n\n<p>Here's one more:<\/p>\n\n<div class='ic'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/i\/JF4_010936+37.gif\" width=\"466\" height=\"700\"\nid=\"i010936_37\"\/>\n<br\/><span class='caption'>Two-Frame Animated GIF<\/span>\n<br\/>Press the ESC button to stop animation. Reload the page to restart animation.\n<\/div>\n\n<p>I don't like that the animation can't be easily control by the reader on an image-by-image basis\n(for example, <span class='nobr'>I don<\/span>'t like that the animation is on by default... it's jarring to the reader not expecting it,\nso I'd prefer to have it start only when requested), so if <span class='nobr'>I ever<\/span> do this again, I'll likely dispense\nwith the animated GIFs and build <span class='nobr'>a JavaScript<\/span>\/Sprite approach (which means that I'll probably build\n<span class='nobr'>a Lightroom<\/span> plugin to make them).
