In a comment on my “Low-Quality Photographic\nLighting Has Me Seen Green<\/a>” post from two days ago, RoyReddy<\/b>\nsuggested a product<\/span> that might help (an X-Rite\nColor-Checker Passport<\/a>). It looked<\/span> like a good<\/span> idea, so I ordered<\/span> one yesterday, from Amazon Japan.<\/p>\n\n

This morning I was disappointed to see the “delivery estimate” of\n“October 21,<\/span> 2012 - October 27,<\/span> 2012”. Drat, that pretty much means that\nthe Amazon store I bought<\/span> it from is just an office that imports things on\ndemand (e.g. from America) and when they receive it, forward it to me. I was disappointed<\/span> to have to wait that long when I could<\/span> have just ordered it\nfrom The States myself, at a much<\/span> lower price.<\/p>\n\n

So I was happily surprised when I came<\/span> home today to find it in my mailbox.<\/p>\n\n

Amazon Japan still says the “Oct 21-27” delivery estimate,\nso I don't<\/span> understand where the mixup came, but it seems to be a running<\/span>\nproblem. I'd ordered<\/span> some large free-standing shelving units a few<\/span> days\nago, and the order-status page estimates an “Oct 11-15”\ndelivery, but also in my mailbox this evening was the “sorry we\nmissed you” note from the delivery company.<\/p>\n\n

If you've got to have problems, these are good ones to have. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n
