Went up again to Kyoto's Shogunzuka overlook (\u4eac\u90fd<\/span>\u306e\u5c06\u8ecd\u585a)<\/span> for the\nsunset, as I often\ndo<\/a>. Wasn't too bad... a bit<\/span> better than two days ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Like in that post the other day, I'm dusting<\/span> off the Sigma 50<\/span>-500mm “Bigma”<\/a>\nlens. As a challenge<\/span>, I practiced<\/span> hand-held manual-focus tracking on birds,\nat 500mm. For those<\/span> who've never tried it, this is ridiculously difficult;\nthe point was general practice, not to get good shots (because there's\nlittle hope to get a good<\/span> shot under these conditions without about 100\nyears of experience under your belt).<\/p>\n\n

The air was more clear for the 19,000-pixel-wide Osaka-skyline panorama<\/a> that I posted<\/span> on Monday, but the color here was definitely more odd.<\/p>\n\n

The sunset didn't get better, but my evening did...
